Associate Professor of Government and Politics

Eric McGlinchey is Associate Professor of Politics and Director of the International Relations Policy Task Force at the Schar School of Policy and Government. He is the author of Chaos, Violence, Dynasty: Politics and Islam in Central Asia (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2011) and, in addition to his academic publications, he has offered commentary for the New York Times, the Washington Post, and CBC/Radio-Canada. McGlinchey’s areas of research include U.S. foreign policy in Eurasia and Central Asian politics. McGlinchey received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 2003.
